I cannot recommend these guys more highly due to their friendly, professional and affordable service. We recently moved into an older house and because of some electrical issues in a couple of rooms, I asked them to check over the wiring and replace some of the power switches and lights. They sorted out all the wiring with no hassles at all. We have 4 indoor pets which can be challenging when you have tradies over walking in out of doors, but they were really friendly with the pets and made sure there were no escapees. It’s great to receive good old fashioned honest service these days and I have already booked them in again to get more work done. Spot on work guys..

Excellent service from start to finish. The pricing was very reasonable, they arrived on time, were friendly and professional, and left everything clean and tidy afterwards.

They installed my pendant lights exactly how I wanted them, added a dimmer beside my bed, and even thoughtfully changed the main light switch to make everything more convenient and practical. The attention to detail was really appreciated.

They even repaired my smoke alarm which he noticed was not working well. Very nice.

After a power outage blew the fuse for our only air con 2 days before Christmas I reached out to CMC who came next day (Christmas Eve). They not only managed to get the 20 year old air con up and running, ensuring the family would be cool and comfortable during this hot and muggy holiday period but they also gave a little more life to an old air con saving us expensive replacement costs for a little while longer. What type of smoke alarms do I need in Queensland?

Queensland law requires photoelectric, interconnected smoke alarms in every bedroom, hallway, and level of your home. They must meet Australian Standard AS 3786:2014.

Do I need to replace all of my old smoke alarms?

Yes. If your alarms are ionisation type, more than 10 years old, or not interconnected, they need to be replaced to comply with Queensland legislation.

How long does installation take?

Most smoke alarm upgrades take 1–2 hours depending on the size of the home and number of alarms needed. We’ll confirm everything during your free safety check.

Can you install alarms in rental properties?

Absolutely. We regularly install smoke alarms for landlords and property managers to ensure full compliance with QLD rental laws.
